Aliens in the Sky
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Author: Christopher Pike
Average review score:

This was a good book. I like how Christopher pike writes.
It normally takes me just a couple hours to read books I think are interesting but the spooksville books just take me about one hour to an hour and thirty minutes without being interupted, I reccommend this book to any of the young teens and pre-teens who like magical jorneys, aliens, witches, and many other weird things.

An excellent adventure on aliens and our Earth.
As i said before i enjoy the Spooksville series very much. Aliens in the Sky is a particularly good one. I think Mr. Pike has more to say rather than thrill the readers. More than a typical horror thriller, it shows what humanity will be like in a couple of thousand years. He makes environmentally aware which is also the case in "Attack of the Killer Crabs". Anyhow, at the rate we are going at, i think what Christopher Pike predicted is inevitable, let alone it being a perfect horror story. I half-expected finding an alien by my bedside when i turned over in bed.

Aliens, aliens everywhere...
This is a good book. I got it for Christmas 1997. Belive me, I'm glad I did, you should read it for yourself. Even if your a skeptic, you'll enjoy this book. Another Spooksville book I recommened is "Night of the Vampire." Go on, read it... if you dare!

It was good!
I really liked it and all but I think the 2 latest ones are better....I am a year over the age limit and so can read 2 spooksville books a day if I have the time to sit and read I really liked the book...

WOW!!!
I am about to turn 13 but now below the age limit. I love all the books Christopher Pike writes he makes us feel as if we are in the book like we are in the story. I think it is so cool!!

I LOVE THESE BBOOKS!!!
Yeah, olive- lurky, I can read 4 Spooksvilles books in a day, and I'm NOT over the age limit!!! I'm 11! So, HA!!! Ayway, I really like how the characters in the book work together as a team! My favorite characters are Cindy and Bryce!

The WITCH'S GIFT: SPOOKSVILLE #24
Published in Paperback by Aladdin Library (01 February, 1999)

Average review score:

Good, but a disappointing ending
Don't get me wrong. I liked this book. However, if this is supposed to be the last Spooksville book, it could've ended better. That's not to say it ended badly, in fact, it sort of ended the same way most of the Spooksville books ended. All I'm saying is that if they were going to end a great book series like this, they should've done it better.

Great!
This was a great book! The gang all chose for great things and I liked all the twists! Adam's wish really helped them a lot and whithout Bryce's wish they would have never even gotten anywhere to use Adam's wish. This book is definetly worth buying! The writer has made a great change in spooksville by letting the witch depart but books have to have cahnges I suppose.

Really good if not the best Spooksville yet
The witch is leaving Spooksville, but gives the gang each a wish. It's cool at first but the wishes start tearing them apart. Can they stick together and destory the alien morphers, read to find out! I seriously recommend this book!

The Wishing Stone (Pike, Christopher. Spooksville, No. 9.)
Published in Paperback by Minstrel Books (June, 1996)

Christopher Pike-The Wishing Stone
This book is a very good book for young readers. It is about 4 kids that find a stone while walking in a wood one day and whenever they ask for someting with the stone in their hand, it immediately appears in front of them. But there is a catch, they must pay off their wishes by slaving away on a planet far away. The two girls are taken away but the boys manage to survive and go on a long and tiring misson to go and save the girls from the slave planet.

I would rate this book four stars as it is a good read and keeps the suspense up.

Another Great Read
In this particular book, the kids find a wishing stone and for every wish they make there is an unforseen price tag attached. The entire series is great and the characters are delightful.

Most Humorous of Series
When Christopher Pike first began the Spooksville series I was disappointed that he would write something so much like the Goosebumps series. However, Spooksville has turned out to be some of Pike's most light hearted and witty writing. The Wishing Stone is my favorite book in the series. I love how the "resourceful" pre-teens always manage to get themselves into and out of trouble. Sally's scenes with the alligator alien always send me into a fit of giggles. Read this book! My only hope is that Pike will continue with this series!

The Witch's Revenge (Pike, Christopher. Spooksville, No. 6.)
Published in Paperback by Aladdin Library (March, 1996)
Author: Christopher Pike
Average review score:

A cool adventure.
A nice adventure story filled with suspense. At this rate, Pike is the best children's book seller. I agree with [whoever] said the witch's background should be revealed to us, but anyway i adore the witch more than anyone else and she is one of the reasons i buy Spooksville-to know more about her. I took away a star coz i didnt feel the book was very scary.

A Great Series
I love all twenty-four novels in Christopher Pike's Spooksville Series. This particular novel is pretty cool. In this we learn more about Ann Templeton (the witch) and get a better idea of what she is like. Though the stories are for a younger audience than his other young adult books, they still have the same great voice and the humor is deliciously Pike.

Trust
This book teaches you that sometimes it is good to trust and have faith. Even though you and me know you won't go to a witches castle and you have to trust her but let's just say. Pike did reveal something about the witches past(that she had a daughter.) It was funny in a lot of ways but I think the funniest things were involving that troll and how he wanted to be in the navy(was it Belfart?).It was okay but buying it? Not really worth that much.

Ch'I the Power Within: Chi Kung Breating Exercises for Health, Relaxation and Energy
Published in Paperback by Charles E Tuttle Co (October, 1996)
Authors: Geoff Pike and Phyllis Pike
Average review score:

Methodically increase health - energy
I bought this book just 3 weeks ago and started practising the pa tuan tsin (eight pieces of brocade) exercise 4 days after. My breathing capacity is gently increasing but the onset of winter will test my sinuses. Lets's hope the recommended PATIENCE, DISCIPLINE, FORTITUDE will hold fast through the cold months.

The book is very interesting and makes for engaging reading. Geoff Pike is also very understanding and through stories and common sense, he raises the enthusiasm.

His background story may be useful in suggesting a primary audience. Geoff Pike relates briefly how he came to change his lifestyle at middle age due to the onset of physical exhaustion and uneasiness at his condition. The exercises are primary used to regain energy and vitality through the middle age lull and maintain liveliness into old age.

At first, I thought I had bought the wrong book, but anyone feeling older than they are could benefit (I am 21 but occasionally feel like a mummified carcass).

In summary; I know I probably should have waited another month before writing a review but I enjoyed the book so much that I wanted to share my thoughts. I am also interested in getting other variations on the pa tuan tsin sets which I now try to use daily. Good luck then.

Eight Pieces of Brocade--Southern Style
I first purchased this book five years ago. I have been studying Tai Chi Chuan for that time as well. I have exmined several forms of the famous Eight Pieces of Brocade researching back to some of the early documents. I find this system taught by Pike to be most beneficial to students wanting a basic system of Chinese Chi Kung health exercises. His explanation of the importance of proper breathing, walking as an activity, and the Pa Tuan Tsin, are precious in and of themselves. His discussion of his background and how he came to learn these exercises is both entertaining and educational. I enjoyed the book very much. I use this version of the Eight Pieces regularly. I have given this book as a gift to my closest friends.

This Western description of Qi Gong is the best I've read.
I recommend Geoff Pike's book to recovering heroin addicts and anyone seeking to build inner strength and resolve, as part of my work in the field of treating drug addiction.

I know of no simpler or more practical guide for the Western reader. Qi Gong is to Tai Chi Chuan what press-ups are to ballet. It's crude and simple but VERY effective when it comes to helping you develop the strength to make positive changes in your life.

Pike on the Fly: The Flyfishermans Guide to Northerns, Tigers, and Muskies (Spring Creek Pr Bk)
Published in Paperback by Johnson Books (October, 1993)
Authors: Barry Reynolds, John Berryman, and Lefty Kreh
Average review score:

fair to middlin
Compared to Murray's Flyfishing for Smallmouth Bass, expect vague generalizations without enough specifics to sink your teeth into.

Think like a predator!
I had the privilege to work on a TV show called HIGH COUNTRY OUTDOORS with Barry the same year he and John wrote PIKE ON THE FLY. I devoured this book and still have it on my shelf in close reach. The techniques aren't just old hackneyed phrases but are true tested tactics gleaned from Barry's experiences. I know of no better way to understand the ways of flyfishing for pike and other large gamefish than to read this book over and over. I refer to it for much more than just pike and muskie, its a great handbook to have when I want to think like a fish.

Pike on the Fly
I read this book then went to Canada fly fishing for Pike. I found out that Barry Reynolds knows fly fishing for Pike. Take the advice of this book and you WILL catch Pike, lots of Pike on a fly rod.

The HAUNTED CAVE (SPOOKSVILLE 3) : THE HAUNTED CAVE
Published in Paperback by Aladdin Library (01 December, 1995)
Author: Christopher Pike
Average review score:

GOOD BOOK!
Good fun reading for anyone who likes stories of underground adventure. This book reminded me of another great book--Steward's, "Tales of Dirt, Danger, and Darkness." Buy this book!

Book #3: "There was no way out of the cave."
While Christopher Pike has been popular among older teen readers for decades, he's expanded his books to a younger audience of readers (8 - 12 year olds), in his recent series called Spooksville, which has some similarities to R. L. Stine's Goosebumps and Fear Street books.

In this third book in the series, four friends (Adam, Watch, Sally, and Cindy) go into the Haunted Cave in search of man's evolutionary missing link--something that's part human, part ape. However, three of them get trapped inside the cave without a way out, stuck on an endless trail of bloodthirsty trolls and bats and impending death, while the remaining friend tries to find a way to rescue them.

I thought "The Haunted Cave" was more of an adventure story than a horror story--and definitely not as bloody or provocative as some of Pike's older teen books; so this book is appropriate for all ages, particularly preteens. Still, I prefer his other books.

The HOWLING GHOST (SPOOKSVILLE 2) : THE HOWLING GHOST
Published in Paperback by Aladdin Library (01 November, 1995)
Author: Christopher Pike
Average review score:

An appalling and lively and untypical ghost novel.
Adam, Sally and Watch meet this girl Cindy who has apparently lost her brother Neil, to a ghost. They search the lighthouse on the coast of Springville, or Spooksville, and much to their unexpectation they meet the ghost. It is seemingly unpleasant and will not simply give up Neil without a compensation... Will the Gang survive this evil ghost? What does it want with Neil?

Great! Perfect! Lovable! Read NOW! Read! Read! Read!
This book is great when the Team,Sally, Watch, and Adam meet this girl Cindy, her brother is missing. He disappeared in the Lighthouse. Sally, Adam, and Watch said they could get him back... This is a Great Book by the Best author Christopher Pike!

Margaret's spooksville
I decided to do this book for my bookreport.
I was pleased but not too pleased. I'm usually very impressed with Christopher Pike's books but i was a little dissappointed whith this one. I liked the general idea of the story and some of the discriptions. The thing that i didn't like about this book was Mr.Pike didn't stick to one idea for a long time. I also felt like there was something missing. When grade sevens have to do book reports we have to describe three main characters. Pike did a very good job at describing personality but i had no clue what anyone (except Leah) looked like. I would probaly recomend this book for people at a grade 4 reading level.

Book Report
I need a page summory about this book

Great
This is one of the well written books among the series by Pike. It merges mystical creatures with reality and a little fun and heart stopping adventure.
